Fans are feeling it for former NFL star Shannon Sharpe following his revelation of a deep, personal loss.
Sharpe, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, lost his 14-year-old pomeranian, Tazz, this week and took to social media to share his grief.
“It’s with a heavy heart I share my beloved 14yr old, Tazz has gone 2 meet his bros,” he revealed on Twitter/X late Tuesday night. “I loved all my dogs, but every1 knew baby was my fav. Gonna miss him barking, greeting, turning so I can pick him up. It hurts, he knows I poured every oz of love I had in him. Daddy will miss you.”
The post has prompted several sad reactions, with many users showing the ‘First Take’ star love.
“Sorry for your loss Shannon,” one fan wrote. “We’re blessed to have these amazing creatures in our lives.”
“Shannon, I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your little guy. We all saw the way you showered him with love and immaculate care,” wrote another. “I think he if he could come back in another life, he’d choose you again, for sure. Sending love and prayers of healing.”
Another comment reads, “Sorry for your loss Unc. I’ve seen you post this pup for years and knew he was a big part of your life.”
“Sorry to read of your loss. What an adorable fur baby. May the memories continue to bring you joy,” a user lamented.
“My condolences, brother,” another wrote. “Losing a pet is never easy. “Take solace in knowing you gave Tazz the best life possible.”

Shannon Sharpe Is A Huge Dog Lover
It’s no secret that Shannon Sharpe is a big dog lover. He is known to spend shocking amounts on his pets and claims to prioritize his relationships with them over relationships with women.
Speaking on his ‘Nightcap’ podcast last year, Sharpe claimed he wouldn’t be with any woman who doesn’t accept his pets.
“If you got a problem with the dogs, let me know now, we can’t do anything,” he said. “I don’t care how fine you are, I don’t care how much money you make. Dogs ain’t going nowhere.”
Losing his favorite one couldn’t have been easy. Our thoughts are with Shannon during this difficult time.
