The Denver Broncos selected Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix with the 12th-overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, but not everybody could wait around that long in between picks.

The Denver Broncos selected Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with the No. 12 overall pick, but he wasn’t in Detroit to walk on stage to celebrate that moment. Nix opted to stay home with his friends and family to celebrate the moment.

When ESPN went live to his home when the Denver Broncos were getting ready to select him, there was one guy who could be seen knocked out sleeping as he laid down next to Bo Nix’s wife.

Here is the video of that friend wide awake and cheering after the selection was announced:

Nix now joins the Broncos after having a Heisman finalist season this past year for the Oregon Ducks.

He will now join Jarrett Stidham, the recently acquired Zach Wilson, and Ben DiNucci in the Broncos quarterback room and he’ll likely compete for a starting job this summer.
