The internet was not having it after some people tried making fun of Jamaal Adams on social media this week.

The former Kansas City Chiefs running back was tasked with announcing the team’s Day 2 pick at the NFL Draft on Friday following a remarkable career in their colors.

Charles was drafted No. 73 overall by the Chiefs before going on to have an impressive nine seasons in KC and was named a first-team All-Pro twice. He was also selected as a Pro Bowler on four occasions.

While he didn’t find much joy in the playoffs, Jamaal Charles scored 64 career touchdowns and was among the best RBs in the NFL for many years, as well as a fan favorite.

Charles took to the stage on Friday night to announce Kingsley Suamataia as the 63rd overall draft pick for the Chiefs.

He had a difficult time reading the card, and that should have been expected, given his learning disability. Still, some folks on social media chose to mock him.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Jamaal Charles Has Struggled All His Life

It’s well known that Charles was diagnosed with a learning disability as a kid and struggled with reading. He was teased throughout his childhood but managed to overcome the challenges and make it into the NFL.

The 37-7ear-old spoke about his experience in 2015, revealing that he discovered his speed and talent after being invited to participate in the Special Olympics.

I was afraid. I was lost. When I was a boy, I had trouble reading,” he said back then. “I found out I had a learning disability. People made fun of me. They said I would never go anywhere. But I learned I can fly.

When I was 10 years old, I had a chance to compete in the Special Olympics. That’s right, the Special Olympics gave me my first chance to discover the talent I did not know that I had. When I competed in the Special Olympics, I found out just how fast I was. I stood high on the podium, getting the gold medal in track and field.

That some people would try to make fun of him is just shameful.
