The Denver Broncos roster got a little bit bigger after the first round of the 2024 Draft due to a QB room addition. Sean Payton and the Broncos selected former Oregon standout QB Bo Nix with their 12th overall pick.

Fans weren’t super dwelling on the pick even though the team had recently traded for former New York Jets draft bust Zach Wilson. Wilson was the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft behind Trevor Lawrence.

Now that the Broncos have two first-round quarterbacks on their roster, there is the question of who they may play to start the season after letting go of trade acquisition Russell Wilson, whom they signed to a massive five-year extension before he played a snap with the team.

Denver Broncos fans are also asking if Wilson will give up his recently revealed number 10 as Nix has worn the number throughout his football career, which is obviously quite the opposite of Wilson, who most recently wore the number two in New York.

The Denver Broncos Have Some Questions To Answer About Their QB Room

Speculation is now that the Broncos may have been hinting as to who they were going to take with their 12th overall selection, as the tweet had a quick note under the main caption stating, “Numbers are subject to change.”

The more experienced Broncos QB has previously worn the number one at his alma mater, along with the number 11 making an appearance on his back. As previously mentioned, he would switch it up, wearing number two with the Jets.

As previously mentioned, Nix is the complete opposite, having worn the number 10 throughout his football career. He could be seen sporting the number at Oregon and during his time at Auburn.

Now, if Wilson doesn’t want to give up the number, what can be done so that the former Oregon signal-caller can get his preferred number? The way most players exchange numbers is monetary compensation. If the two Broncos can’t agree, it looks like he may have to make another number famous unless Wilson is nice to his fellow QB.
