After Eazy-E’s passing in 1995, his sophomore studio album, “Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton,” was posthumously released the following year.

As the N.W.A founding member’s music career was abruptly cut short, ideas have started to be brainstormed for how to keep it going.

Earlier in November 2023, to pay homage to Eazy-E’s legacy, a street was named after him in his hometown of Compton, CA, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The city renamed “Towne Center Drive” to “Eazy Street.”

While at his late father’s street naming ceremony, Lil Eazy-E spoke to TMZ and said the celebration was long overdue.

“[This] is big for the legacy,” Lil Eazy-E shared. “It’s finally giving him due justice of what his legacy is about. He put Compton on the map. Now, we just need that [Hollywood] star.”

He added, “He should’ve been got one.”

During the interview, Lil Eazy-E also revealed what could potentially be in the cards for AI-generated Eazy-E music.

“We’ll see,” the rapper said when asked if he would consider using AI to create songs featuring his late father. “We’ll see how that’s coming. There is some hidden tracks out there, so we’ll see how that goes.”

Lil Eazy-E also noted that creating the AI tracks would be contingent on whether he decides to release another album of his own.

When asked about music royalties, Lil Eazy-E was more discreet. However, he claimed that “a lot of good things” are coming into motion with his stepmother, Tomica Wright. Additionally, he announced that he hopes to have the opportunity to direct a docu-series about Eazy-E.

“I don’t want to play [my father], I want to direct it,” he expressed. “I don’t need to play [him]. I’ve been his son all my entire life.”
