Following the death of a popular TikTok star, Kyle Marisa Roth, fans seem to believe that Jennifer Lopez is playing a role in the devastating loss. Earlier this week, news broke that Kyle, who was best known for sharing her takes on celebrity gossip, had died, and because J.Lo had her banned from the platform after Kyle discussed her Amazon Prime Video documentary, fans are now holding the singer accountable for the role they say she played in Kyle’s death.

The news of Kyle’s death broke on April 16.

After fans were getting concerned they hadn’t heard from Kyle in a while, her mother, Jacquie Cohen Roth, shared the heartbreaking update in a post on LinkedIn on Monday.

“My daughter Kyle has passed away. She touched some of your lives personally and some of your lives via her immense life on another platform,” she wrote. “Kyle loved and lived fiercely. Nothing makes sense now and we’ll understand more in the next few days.”

The cause of her death is still unknown.

In an Instagram post about Kyle’s death, her sister, Lindsay, explained that they still don’t have answers about what might have happened.

“As a family we are still processing and deciding how to properly celebrate and honor her life. we don’t know happened yet,” she wrote.

Kyle Marisa was only 36 years old. Though she had previously shared that she was a colon cancer survivor, she was believed to be in good health at the time of her death.

She had recently been banned from the platform after sharing a video involving Jennifer.

After offering her commentary on J.Lo’s documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, she received copyright claims on her videos that appeared to come from the singer’s team. This resulted in her account being permanently banned from the platform.

“J Lo’s narcissism single-handedly crushed the main portion of my small business,” Kyle told Forbes in March. “I didn’t even have the opportunity to download or save 4 years worth of my content that had been viewed over a billion times and accumulated over 50 million likes.”

She went on to say that losing her account cost her “more than four figures of income” just for March.

Now J.Lo is facing backlash.

Just one week before her death, Kyle told her followers that because of the ban, she was no longer able to afford doctor’s visits to ensure that she was still in remission from cancer, saying, “If I die of colon cancer, it’s on [Jennifer].”

Since then, her fans have taken to the comments of J.Lo’s Instagram posts, demanding “justice” for Kyle. One person wrote, “I won’t forget what you did to Kyle Marissa Roth.”

So far, J.Lo has yet to respond to the speculation.

Regardless of what led to Kyle’s death, it’s heartbreaking to see a family grieve over the loss of someone so young — and someone who was beloved by so many people all over the world.

We’ll miss hearing her hot takes on celeb blind items, but we’ll always remember her catchphrase: “You want more? I’ll give you more.”
