From a sweet kiss to cooking up some cinnamon buns, Swift’s latest clip has plenty of moments connected to Kelce

Taylor Swift is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her life, including some heartwarming moments involving Travis Kelce.

Shortly after the release of her new album The Tortured Poets Department, on Friday, April 19, the pop star, 34, shared a sweet promotional video for her single “Fortnight” on YouTube Shorts. And, as fans quickly noticed, she opted to share some cute nods to her relationship with the NFL tight end, 34.

Swift’s “Fortnight Challenge,” set to the tune of her new single with Post Malone and showed various candid glimpses of her life.

While some moments in the 15-second clip feature Kelce directly — like the Kansas City Chiefs player giving her a kiss in the kitchen — others are more subtle nods to the couple’s very own “Love Story.”

A kiss in the kitchen

About one second into the promotional clip, Kelce can be seen planting a kiss on Swift’s cheek as she cooks something up in the kitchen.

It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, like most in the YouTube video, where Swift wears a black top and blue jeans as her partner rocks a black sweater with a red collar. While he doesn’t show his face in the clip, the back of Kelce’s head is visible as he shows some affection to the musician, who can’t hide her smile during the heartfelt moment.

While Kelce didn’t attend the University of Kansas as a Jayhawk — instead spending his collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati — Swift still showed some love for the school in her new video by wearing a KU crewneck sweater. After all, the NFL star is on the roster of the Kansas City Chiefs, who play less than an hour away from where the school is based in Lawrence, Kansas.

As the Kansas City Star notes, the musician’s connection to the school dates far beyond her relationship with Kelce, too. She previously visited friend Abigail Anderson at the university in 2009, the outlet reports.

Cinnamon rolls, anyone?

Swift has been teasing her cinnamon roll-making skills on social media since a May 2020 Instagram post where she noted that she was “proud” of her recipe. But the sweet treat also has a connection to her partner Kelce.

During an appearance on Audacy’s AM 560 Sports WQAM in December 2023, former NFL player Bernie Kosar revealed that the musician had cooked up some cinnamon rolls for Kelce during a previous game day. At the time, he revealed he “absolutely” gave the dish a try.

“That was at his house like three hours before the game,” said Kosar. “We’re having pregame meal and Taylor is so nice she comes in by herself and she’s so cool, she brings, she made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for pregame meal.”

Repping the Chiefs

Another brief clip from the video shows Swift holding a Kansas City Chiefs paddle on what appears to be a pickleball court.

Of course, Kelce has been a tight end on the team since he was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. And Swift herself has quickly become a big fan of the team, attending multiple games in support of her partner.

A night in Singapore

Swift, who performed six Eras Tour shows at the Singapore National Stadium in Kallang in March, also included a wholesome glimpse of her time in the country in her latest upload. Kelce came to support his girlfriend during the international run of gigs, and in the singer’s behind-the-scenes video, a couple — seemingly Kelce and Swift — can be seen holding hands while surrounded by lights during their world tour date.
