It has been a while since Travis Kelce left Australia and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, or rather her father met with controversy after being accused of assaulting a paparazzo in Sydney, Australia.

It’s the incident from Tuesday morning when the “Cruel Summer” songwriter was spotted heading towards a waiting car, while her father, Scott Swift held her hands, under an umbrella, via the video recorded by photographer Ben McDonald, who is also the alleged victim of the assault.

But right when he went closer to them, the video got disturbed and only the audio of their verbal exchange can be heard. McDonald accused Scott of striking him down, who was also accompanied by another photographer. An official from New South Wales police confirmed with EW about the investigation of an alleged assault at Sydney’s North Shore around 2:30 a.m.

How Australian media crossed the line with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Zoo date

Ever since the “Lovers” songwriter landed in Sydney for her record-breaking Eras Tour show, she has been welcomed by the media most bizarrely. Swift is quite familiar with the extensive media coverage she gets, however since the past few days, Australian media seemed to have crossed a line that even the Swifties condemned.

Not only did they violate the renowned singer’s privacy when she went on a private date with her boyfriend, Kelce at Sydney Zoo, but also labeled it as ‘National News.’

They received immense criticism from the Swifties on social media for recording the couple’s private date via drones and helicopters. On top of that, since the Kansas City Chiefs‘ arrival in Sydney, the Australian paparazzi didn’t leave him for a second by capturing his every move.
