Jackson Mahomes has caught a huge break in his sexual battery case, per reports.

Jackson, the younger brother of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was charged with three counts of felony aggravated sexual battery and misdemeanor battery following an incident at a restaurant last February. He is out on a $100,000 bond.

Prosecutors are now looking to have the felony charges dropped. According to court documents, the restaurant owner who accused Jackson of forcibly kissing her at her establishment has indicated that she no longer wishes to pursue the matter.

As such, the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office in Kansas has filed a motion to dismiss the three counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Although the alleged victim, Aspen Vaughn, stopped cooperating with authorities, prosecutors tried going forward with the case as the incident was caught on surveillance footage. But the woman has been adamant in her desire for “the matter to be dismissed as to anything involving” her.

It’s understood that she even threatened to state that the kiss was consensual if prosecutors insisted.

If the trio of felony counts are thrown out, Jackson would only face the misdemeanor battery charge for shoving a waiter at the same restaurant on the night of the incident described above.

Vaughn had previously been exposed to abuse from Kansas City residents and even had to close her restaurant down due to vandalism. It’s unclear as to whether she decided to back off the case because of such pressure.
