Britney Spears Grateful for Her “Amazing Friends” Amid Divorce From Sam Asghari
Britney Spears is feeling gratitude during a difficult time.
The 41-year-old shared a personal update on her Instagram more than a month after her estranged husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce after 14 months of marriage.
“I’m in such a beautiful location !!! l’m so lucky to have amazing friends !!!” Britney wrote on a Sept. 29 post, alongside a photo of man, who appears to be her longtime pal and manager Cade Hudson, leaning in to kiss her on the cheek. “Positive affirmations are important to me at the moment !!! I say this because I’m going through a divorce and having to reflect my past in a book was … let’s just say not easy !!! I’m just saying !!! But I take one day at a time learning to breathe !!!”
The pop star continued, “Self love is so unbelievably important !!! I woke up and just cried because I felt grateful to be in such a beautiful place !!!”
Britney is set to release her memoir, The Woman in Me, Oct. 24. “I’m doing the finishing touches on it right now,” she said in a Sept. 28 Instagram video, “and I hope you guys like it.”
The book is expected to contain details about her life before and after she was placed on a conservatorship largely controlled by her father Jamie Spears, who had maintained he did whatever he thought was best for the singer’s well-being. Following a lengthy legal battle, the agreement was terminated in September 2021 after more than 13 years.
