Britney Spears Is Being Pressured To Make New Music After Quitting The Industry

Last year, Britney Spears told her fans she was done with the music industry and never plans to perform again. But all of that could change, as a new report claims Spears is being pressured to hit the record studio by music executives who think a return to her roots would be huge for her career.

This comes after various outlets reported that Britney is making plans for her first album in eight years. The U.S. Sun claims Spears is collaborating with British musician Charli XCX to write song lyrics, though the publication notes they’ve yet to meet in person.

“She is known as one of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century so there is pressure for the music to be great,” they went on. “Charli has a great track record when it comes to writing clever pop songs. She went into the studio earlier in the year to make some songs using Britney’s guidance of what she is after.”

They added, “She came up with a really strong track that is expected to make it on to the album, which Britney’s team hope will be out in 2024.”
