Britney Spears clearly had a blast during her return to MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. After a decade lay-off, the singer bravely took the stage following Beyoncé’s 15-minute Lemonade masterclass and worked it in a barely-there sparkly one-piece, dancing her way though the single “Make Me” with help from G-Eazy, who also hooked up with her for his “Me, Myself and I.”

“We wanted to do something different, something I’ve never done before, so that was probably the coolest thing we could come up with,” Spears told Elvis Duran and the Morning show on Monday morning (Aug. 29) about her performance. “He’s so sweet!,” she added about rapper Eazy. “He’s got a lot of swag, he’s got the whole cool thing going on.”

The best part about the whole thing, though, is that it won her some serious points with her boys, Sean and Jayden. “I got to do some of his song, G-Eazy, and so it just made it more interesting for me,” she said. “My kids think he’s fricken cool! They’re like, ‘Mom! You’re cool now! I’m like, ‘Thanks! That’s all I had to do!”
