Cardi B says she had sex with Offset NYE despite separation

On Monday (Jan. 1), Cardi B logged on to her X Space page and began talking to fans for the first time in 2024. During her session, which can partly be heard below, Bardi admits she hooked up with Offset the previous night after they were spotted together at a strip club in Miami.

“Let me make this a little bit clearer to you guys because as you guys are making y’all assumptions, and I just wanted to hear it from the horse’s mouth,” Cardi started. “Was I clubbing with my baby father yesterday? Yes. Did I get d**ked down yesterday? Absolutely, baby. Y’all can use your roles on New Year’s Eve; I need some d**k on New Year’s Eve.”

She continued: “I feel like we was vibing yesterday, we had a good time. We was Henny’d down. We was both in the same club and it was just really awkward. Like, I’m in my section, he’s in his section. It’s like, ‘Man, just f**king come over here. Just chill, we having a good time. But I feel at the point of where we at in our relationship, we’ve been together for seven years, we’ve been married for seven years. I don’t consider that we’re back together because the answer of getting back together is not a good night at the club and f**king the night long.”

“We need to work on our s**t, we need to work on our communication,” she added. “There’s things that he gotta work on, there’s things that I gotta work on. Until we work that out, I don’t feel like we’re back together.”

Cardi B and Offset Go Through Public Breakup

Back on Dec. 10, 2023, Cardi B confirmed she and Offset parted ways after breakup rumors surfaced.

“I been single for a minute now,” she said in a video shared on social media. “I just don’t know how to tell the world. I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live, I kinda wanted to tell you guys. But I didn’t know how to tell you. I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign. I want to start 2024 fresh, open. I don’t know, I’m curious for a new life, new beginning.”

She went off on Offset in a wild video on Instagram a few days later. However, they spent Christmas together with their kids. Cardi denied she took Offset back after they were spotted in attendance at Travis Scott’s New Jersey show. A few days ago, she even went off on her fans for spreading the rumors that she took Offset back.

50 Cent vs. Fat Joe

Beef occurred: 2004 – 2012

50 Cent’s rift with Fat Joe began over the Terror Squad captain’s friendship with Ja Rule, 50’s mortal enemy. In 2004, Fat Joe jumped on Ja Rule’s track “New York,” which found Rule targeting 50 Cent with, “Apprentice you’re fired/You’re no longer desired/So, take off them silly chains, put back on your wire, I’m on fire.” 50 Cent then singled out Fat Joe on the 2005 song “Piggy Bank,” calling him a “fat n***a.” Fat Joe returned fire on “My FoFo” and alleged 50 Cent was using steroids during an interview. Fif has since admitted he was “buggin’” when he dragged Fat Joe into his beef with Ja Rule—one that still hasn’t ended. Fat Joe and 50 Cent, however, have been cool since 2012, when they made peace at the BET Awards.

Meek Mill vs. Drake

Beef occurred: 2015 – 2018

In 2015, Meek Mill called out Drake for not writing his own raps. He was angry that Drake didn’t support Meek album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, at the time. Meek claimed that was because he and his team found out that Drake used a ghostwriter. The Philadelphia rapper also thought Drake dissed Meek on their own 2015 collaboration, “R.I.C.O.” Consequently, Meek exposed Drake for not writing the lyrics to his verse and having Atlanta rapper Quentin Miller write it instead, information he said he got from DJ Drama.

The tweets came at a rapid pace, with Meek Mill saying things like, “He ain’t even write that verse on my album and if I woulda knew I woulda took it off my album” and “Stop comparing Drake to me too…He don’t write his own raps!” Drake replied with “Charged Up” then laid the smackdown with “Back to Back,” which seemed to do the trick. They eventually squashed their issues during a Boston concert in 2018.

Jim Jone vs. Pusha T

Beef occurred: 2023 – ongoing

To be fair, Jim Jones started it. During an episode of the Rap Caviar podcast earlier this year in April, Jim said Pusha T didn’t deserve as slot on Billboard’s top 50 rappers list. He doubled down on his opinion that same month when speaking to The Breakfast Club. In retaliation, Pusha T dissed Jones on a Clipse song Push and No Malice premiered at Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton fashion show in June. Whether it was Jones’ relationship with Drake—who Pusha T flamed on the 2018 track “The Story of Adidon”—that sparked his disdain for King Push isn’t clear. Nevertheless, Jones quickly returned with the Clipse diss track “Summer Collection.” Pusha T has yet respond. This beef continues to be unresolved.

MC Hammer vs. Jay-Z

Beef occurred: 2010

MC Hammer wouldn’t necessarily be at the top of anybody’s list when it comes to tough guys, but he has a past. Hailing from Oakland, Hammer’s been known to sometimes, well, bring the hammer down. In 2010, Jay-Z took aim at Hammer on Kanye West’s “So Appalled” beat. “Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused /I lost 30 mil’ so I spent another 30/’Cause unlike Hammer, 30 million can’t hurt me,” Hov raps on the track. Rather than cower in a corner, Hammer responded with “Better Run Run,” on which he accuses Jay-Z of being BFFs with Satan. “Mr. Devil, can you give me a sign?”/He said “Throw the Roc up, thats one of mine.”

Machine Gun Kelly vs. Eminem

Beef occurred: 2018 – ongoing

One thing about Eminem: if someone slanders him or disrespects his family in any way, he’ll come for the jugular. Such is the case with Machine Gun Kelly, who in 2012, called Shady’s daughter Hailie “hot.” Eminem evidently has a memory built like a steel trap and, in 2018, castrated MGK on the Kamikaze single “Not Alike.” Although Shady set his sights on numerous rappers on the album, MGK was the only one to respond on wax—much to everyone’s surprise. The track, “Rap Devil,” arrived full of ire for someone MGK says he once admired. Then, even more shockingly, Eminem returned fire with the aptly titled “Kill Shot,” and the beef died with that release.

Cardi B vs. Nicki Minaj

Beef occurred: 2017 – ongoing

People have been trying to pit female rappers against each other for what seems like eons, as if there’s only room for one woman at the top. Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are prime examples of women in rap who’ve been forced into competition at the behest of the internet, but it’s played out in real life. For example, there was the infamous shoe-throwing incident during 2018’s New York Fashion Week in which Cardi allegedly tossed a shoe at Minaj. Their respective fan bases also consistently fan the flames in an attempt to have them spar online. But really, like 2017’s “Motorsport”—their first collaboration—the two rap superstars should just team up and conquer the world.

Soulja Boy vs. Bow Wow

Beef occurred: 2009 – 2021

Although Soulja Boy and Bow Wow were once collaborators—they partnered up on the song “Marco Polo” in 2008—their relationship soured when Soulja did an interview declaring Nas killed hip-hop. By 2009, they were dissing each other on wax. In 2016, Soulja Boy declared their beef was over. Then in 2020, Soulja challenged Bow Wow to a Verzuz, and they started playfully trading jabs online. The battle went down in 2021, and Bow Wow was declared the winner—much to Soulja Boy’s chagrin.

Canibus vs. J. Cole

Beef occurred: 2011

J. Cole has frequently talked about how much Canibus’ early raps influenced his work. But instead of showing appreciation, Canibus dropped a diss track about Cole in 2011 called “J. Clone.” He argued Cole should’ve reached out to him to do a collaboration instead of giving Canibus “disingenuous” support. “You said my name so much they think you’re being honest/It’s more than that, we could’ve recorded the track/You could give me a stack for a verse just like that,” Canibus raps. He apologized to Cole just two days after its release, calling his behavior “tacky” and “unsophisticated.”

Coi Leray Latto

Beef occurred: 2023 – ongoing

Emerging star Coi Leray was thrown off when Latto premiered an alleged Nicki Minaj diss track at Coachella in April. The track included the line: “Smokin’ on that gas/Blunt big as Coi Leray,” which Coi interpreted as body-shaming. The song ended up being Latto’s hit “Put It On Da Floor.” Subsequently, Coi snapped on Latto in a series of tweets and concluded, “If you don’t like me, support me or fwm don’t mention my name.”

Both women later chalked it up to a misunderstanding. However, Coi dropped the song “Isabel Marant” in August after previewing the track in July, and mentioned Latto. “Hop up on that couch and roll up Latto out the bag,” Coi raps. Then in September, Latto decided to add more fuel to the fire by mentioning Coi’s dad Benzino on the remix to Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplants.” “He don’t eat p***y, he gots to go/Give me that neck like Benzino/Give me that neck like, ‘Where it go?’” Latto raps. After that, Coi shared a text message between herself and Benzino in which he wrote, “She admires u…They all do.” Looks like this beef is still sizzling.

Drake vs. Common

Beef occurred: 2011 – 2019

Common subbed Drake on “Sweet,” the third single from Common’s ninth studio album, The Dreamer/The Believer in 2011, with lines like, “I’m taking too long with this amateur guy/You ain’t wet nobody, n###a, you Canada dry.” That was all it took. During a 2011 Las Vegas show, Drake reportedly told the crowd, “I might sing, but I ain’t no bitch. If Common got something to say, say it to my face.” After a little online interference from Noah “40” Shebib, Drake’s longtime producer, Drake officially responded to Common on “Stay Schemin,” but Common fired right back with “Stay Schemin (Remix),” igniting 2012’s first rap beef. They ultimately squashed it backstage at the Grammys in February of that year. In a 2019 interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Common admitted he really didn’t know what they were clashing over by that point, but perhaps the fact they both dated tennis star Serena Williams had something to do with it.

Trina vs. Khia

Beef occurred: 2000 – ongoing

Khia began frequently digging her claws into Trina on her YouTube show, Gag Order in 2020, but it wasn’t the first time. Khia’s disdain for Trina stretches back to 2000, when Khia claimed she wrote Trina’s song “Da Baddest B*tch” but never received recognition for doing so. Trina did an interview with Drink Champs in 2022—and this was after Khia accused Trina of having HIV, among other abhorrent things. The Miami rapper insisted the beef wasn’t really coming from her and it started with Khia. Trina did suggest, however, it was “on sight” if she ever ran into Khia on the streets.

Joe Budden Logic

Beef occurred: 2019 – ongoing

Joe Budden consistently begs Logic to stop rapping. During a 2019 episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden described Logic as “easily one of the worst rappers to ever grace a microphone.” For whatever reason, Budden couldn’t seem to let it go. In 2020, he finally offered Logic an apology. But, Budden’s disgust with Logic was revived in March of this year when the Maryland native did a cover of Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day,” which Budden deemed “really, really bad” on his podcast. Budden added: “Join me in retirement, never step near a recording device again! Throw your phone in the ocean!” Speaking to MSNBC’s Ari Melber in May, Logic called Budden “a hurt man, a very smart man and a f**king hater.”

Benzino Eminem

Beef occurred: 2002 – 2022

Benzino, former publisher of The Source, has been going at Eminem since the early 2000s, when the magazine announced in a press conference it was in possession of an old tape in which a young Slim Shady was rapping racial slurs against Black women. Although Shady confessed the comments were made after a bitter breakup with a Black girlfriend, he still sued The Source for defamation and copyright infringement. A judge ultimately ruled in the publication’s favor and Eminem withdrew the lawsuit. But it seems Benzino has been at Em’s throat ever since–even though Eminem opted not to engage. In 2022, Benzino once again targeted Eminem while calling his Stans the most “non-violent coward fan base hip-hop has ever seen.” Following relentless backlash, Benzino eventually issued an apology and declared his beef with Eminem was “dead.”

50 Cent vs. Jadakiss

Beef occurred: 2004 – 2005

Jadakiss has gone on record saying his beef with 50 Cent “wasn’t that serious.” The two delivered a pair of diss tracks aimed at each other in 2005, beginning with 50 Cent’s 2005 song “Piggy Bank,” on which 50 raps, “Jada’ don’t f**k with me if you wanna eat/’Cause I’ll do yo’ little a*s like Jay did Mobb Deep.” Jada replied with “Checkmate” that same year, and it was seemingly a done deal. The two have since publicly expressed their mutual respect.

Drake vs. Tyga

Beef occurred: 2014 – ongoing

Two years after Drake and Tyga teamed up for 2011’s “The Motto” featuring Lil Wayne, signs their relationship was in peril started to emerge. By 2014, Tyga was calling Drake “fake” in interviews and fully copped to not liking him as a person in an interview with VIBE. In retaliation, Drake liked several photos on social media of Blac Chyna, the mother of Tyga’s son. Later on, Drake liked Instagram photos of Kylie Jenner, Tyga’s girlfriend at the time. Drake ultimately dissed Tyga on the single “6PM in New York” in 2015. But essentially, their discourse was really over nothing more than a personality conflict.

Common vs. Ice Cube

Beef occurred: 1995 – 1997

Ice Cube will be the first to admit his qualms with Common started over a misunderstanding. In 1995, not long after Common dropped the single “I U.S.E.D. To Love Her,” the N.W.A cofounder decided he was offended by the way gangsta rap was negatively portrayed on the song. A year-and-a-day after its release, Ice Cube came out swinging on Mack 10’s “Westside Slaughterhouse,” rapping, “Used to love her, mad ’cause we f**ked her /P***y-whipped b***h, with no common sense/Hip-hop started in the West/Ice Cube bailin’ through the East without a vest.” Common, angered by Cube’s disrespect, returned with “The B***h in Yoo,” which many believed trumped Cube’s diss. They eventually reconciled at Nation of Islam’s Chicago headquarters during a peace summit organized by Minister Louis Farrakhan in 1997.

Eminem vs. Nick Cannon

Beef occurred: 2009 – 2020

Eminem set his sights on Nick Cannon and his then-wife Mariah Carey on the 2009 single “Bagpipes From Baghdad.” In that moment, Cannon emphatically declared “war” on Slim Shady. While their beef laid dormant for awhile, it was revived in 2019, when Cannon revisited their sordid history on an episode of T.I.’s ExpidTIously podcast. Eminem quickly replied on the Fat Joe single “Lord Above” and joked Cannon had been “neutered” by his now ex-wife. Cannon responded with an Instagram post, a series of three diss tracks, allegations of homosexuality and an unanswered invitation to Wild ’N Out. Eminem eventually responded via Twitter with, “U mad bro? Stop lying on my d**k. I never even had a chauffeur, you bougie f**k. I demand an apology Nicholas, you’ve made my gardener so jealous!” Cannon backed off in 2020, convinced Eminem “knows better” than to keep talking about him.

Azealia Banks vs. Everybody

Beef occurred: Ongoing

Azealia Banks has made it abundantly clear she’s not afraid to go after even the most powerful people in both hip-hop and the entertainment industry. Whether it’s actor Russell Crowe, RZA, Cardi B or Nicki Minaj—it doesn’t matter—they’re all fair game in her mind. It seems Banks has been on a tear for years with no sign of slowing down. Among the most egregious is her 2000 tirade against her former collaborator Kanye West, who she labeled “a closeted homosexual.” The comment came after West’s bizarre outburst about abortion during one of his political rallies. Banks then encouraged him to “suck d**k in peace.” She went after West again in 2022, as he was dealing with his divorce from Kim Kardashian, calling him an “abusive psychopath.” That’s just the tip of the iceberg though—Iggy Azalea, T.I., Remy Ma, Lil’ Kim, Action Bronson, Rihanna and Erykah Badu are among the many who’ve been on the receiving end of Banks’ wrath.

Beef occurred: 1993 – 2016

P.M. Dawn’s Prince Be once asked, “KRS-One wants to be a teacher, but a teacher of what?” In retaliation, KRS-One and some of his accomplices physically tossed Prince Be and Doc. G off stage at New York’s Sound Factory in 1993. Super Cat, who went on stage after P.M. Dawn, was left to perform to an empty venue because the entire crowd followed KRS-One and crew out of the building. Prince Be died in 2016, from kidney renal failure and complications related to diabetes before they truly ever made peace.
