Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth appears to be in the market for a new luxury seaside pad in Victoria.

The 39-year-old Aussie actor has been seen visiting the construction site of a new development in Beach Street, Port Melbourne reports The Herald Sun.

According to the report, the penthouse apartments inside the chic complex are valued at $18.5million.

Hemsworth, who owns property in NSW’s Byron Bay region with wife Elsa Pataky worth close to $90million, is yet to buy up any of the available flats, which are worth $2.7million and up.

Former Socceroo Harry Kewell has also been reported to be looking to buy off the plan of the new development, which will boast grand ocean views once complete.

Hemsworth, according to The Herald Sun, has engaged a representative to search out property’s in Victoria.

The hunky fan favourite, who grew up in Victoria’s Phillip Island, owns property worth close to $90million, but none of it is in his home state.

After buying his Byron Bay family home for $7million back in 2014, Hemsworth transformed the sprawling property into a compound that has been valued at between $30million and $60million.

The actor carried out extensive renovations on the six-bedroom home, and it now boasts a steam room, gym, media room and games room.

There’s also a stunning outdoor living area, play areas for his three young kids and a 50-metre rooftop infinity pool, which overlooks the ocean.

Chris and his family began construction on the mansion, which was previously an eight-bedroom resort-style home known as Kooeloah, in late 2017.

The Thor star and wife Elsa Pataky, 46, also own a Broken Head horse ranch and retreat, purchased in 2019 for $4.25million, with an estimated value of $10million now.

Sitting on 35 hectares, it was developed to include a state-of-the-art horse stables and dressage, show jumping and horse exercise arena.

There was also the development of a man-made swimming lake, complete with entertaining cabana, islands and even a water slide.

Last year the couple won approval to build yet another home in the Byron Bay region.

The Hollywood couple was given the green light in August to build two ‘celebrity guesthouses’ next to their mansion.

Hemsworth proposed $4.4million worth of works, bringing the finished property to $8.6million, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Detailed plans show the home will have two dwellings with a total of seven bedrooms; the primary mini-mansion will include five bedrooms while the second home will have two, each with its own ensuite bathroom.

The sprawling residence will have four levels, as well as a butler’s pantry and swimming pool.

A second building will sit next to a pond, which already has a cabana and firepit.

A garage will comfortably hold three Ferraris for the Hemsworths or their Hollywood mates, who are expected to bunker down at the new pad.

Daily Mail Australia first revealed last year that Chris and Elsa wanted to build the new seven-bedroom home – each with its own ensuite bathroom – less than a kilometre from their mega-mansion.

Development plans were first lodged in March 2021, with a final draft submitted with Byron Bay Shire Council in July last year.

Along with his brothers Liam and Luke, Chris also made a Newrybar purchase in 2021, snapping up 37.5 hectares in the area for $6.8 million.

The land features sweeping ocean views and sits on the Newrybar ridge line.

The farmlet comes with a building block and last sold for $680,000 all the way back in 2001.

The property was toted by McGrath Real Estate as ‘the hinterland’s premier land opportunity boasting some of the best vistas in the Northern Rivers’.

‘This ultra-rare property is the perfect blank canvas to create your idyllic hinterland estate perched high on the escarpment above Byron Bay and Lennox Head and offering uninterrupted views,’ the agent added.

The brothers made yet another Newrybar purchase in 2022, snapping up 44.5 hectares in the region for $10.5 million.
