With her Eras tour on break until the end of 2024, one wonders what Taylor Swift will do to keep herself busy. Sure, there’s the occasional red carpet event (for example, the London premiere of Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé), as well as whatever role she plays in the war between her publicist and anonymous Instagram account Deuxmoi over Swift’s past relationships, but how much time does stuff like that kill? Instead, says NFL great Matt LaFleur, the billionaire musician will settle into her time off era Sunday from the stands of Lambeau Field, where she’ll cheer boyfriend/Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on as his team plays the Green Bay Packers.

Bookies and oddsmakers had already predicted a Chiefs win over the Packers, and that was before LaFleur’s post-practice interview Friday. When the Packers’ head coach was asked if Swift was expected to travel to Wisconsin to attend Sunday’s game, LaFleur responded, “That’s what I heard,” WBAY reports.

If the spell Swift cast on previous games continues for this one, that news could spell doom for  LaFleur’s underdog team. As analysts, gambling experts, and the man himself have acknowledged, Kelce’s playing ability sharply improves when Swift is in the stands, to such an extent that they try to keep her gametime plans a secret to avoid skewing the odds.

But even if LaFleur had refused to comment, the cat might already be out of the bag. An Instagram account devoted to tracking the flight paths of Swift’s private planes claims she arrived in Kansas City Friday. According to taylorswiftjets (as the account is dubbed), the KC stop was the last leg in a trip that began in London shortly after Swift posed for the cameras at Beyoncé’s film premiere.

If accurate, Friday was Swift’s second arrival in Kansas City this week, after a flight from São Paulo (with a quick stop in Florida) on Monday. Swift and Kelce have “the next few months completely laid out,” an unnamed source reportedly said of the pair this week. “They’re trying to be as much like a regular couple as possible.”

It’s a nice dream, if true, but likely an impossible one. How many regular couples fly back and forth from London to Kansas City in a private jet tracked by a social media account with 44.9 million followers? How many regular couples end up on the topic of a pre-game press conference with a veteran coach? And how many regular couples have representatives who Vanity Fair contacted for this story (and who, in this case, did not respond as of publication time)?

In other words, good for Swift and Kelce if they’re trying to live life as you or I might! The grass is always greener, I suppose. But given the scrutiny the pair are under (this item included), how realistic a goal can that possibly be?
