Jason Kelce is calling it a career after 13 NFL seasons.
The Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center told his teammates in the locker room after Monday’s season-ending wild card loss to the Buccaneers that he is retiring, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 36-year-old future Hall-of-Famer was visibly upset on the sidelines at the end of Philadelphia’s 32-9 loss at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Kelce appeared to be crying during the final seconds of the game when ESPN cameras panned to him on the sidelines.
“That looks like a man filled with emotion right now,” said Troy Aikman, who was calling the game with Joe Buck in the booth.
Kelce — who was set to become a free agent in March — then shared an exchange and a hug with his longtime offensive line coach, Jeff Stoutland.

As he exited the field, he greeted his wife, Kylie McDevitt Kelce, who was standing in the front row with his father, Ed Kelce.
He also appeared somber while walking to the locker room, as seen in another video taken in the back hallways of the stadium.

Veteran Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson shared with reporters that Kelce has “hinted” to teammates that this would be his final season, according to ESPN.
“I love him. He’s one of the best to ever play the game,” Johnson said. “The things he can do on the football field athletically — I don’t think we’ll see another one like him for a long time.”
Kelce announced last March he would “return for another year after talking it over with my wife and many other friends and family.”
Taking to Twitter (now X) at the time, Kelce wrote: “I have put much thought into whether it makes sense to play another season… Thank you to all my supporters and detractors for fueling me, I ain’t f–king done yet!”

Kelce and Kylie welcomed a baby girl, Bennett Llewellyn Kelce, last February — making them a family of five.
The newborn joined big sisters, 2-and-a-half-year-old Elliotte Ray and 4-year-old Wyatt.
The proud “girl dad” opened up about toll football has taken on his body and contemplating retirement in his Prime Video documentary, “Kelce,” which released in September 2023 — and followed him on and off the field throughout the 2022-23 NFL season.

Kelce has six All-Pro selections and seven Pro Bowls under his belt.
He helped the Eagles reach the Super Bowl last February, when he faced his brother, tight end Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs and lost 38-35 in Phoenix.
A sixth round pick (No. 191 overall) by the Eagles in the 2011 NFL Draft, Kelce has spent his entire career with Philadelphia.
He won Super Bowl LII in 2018 with the Eagles.
