Nicki Minaj is no stranger to commercial success and that doesn’t seem to be drying up any time soon. We’re two full months into 2024 and she’s just reached an impressive achievement already. Across all her credits on Spotify, she’s racked up 1 billion streams in just 2024 alone. That makes her the first female rapper to reach that achievement this year. Many of those streams likely come from her new album Pink Friday 2 which dropped late last year. Two tracks from the record, “FTCU” and “Everybody” with Lil Uzi Vert are still lingering on the Hot 100 this week.

Another big chunk of streams is likely coming from her single “Big Foot,” the only new music she’s actually released in 2024. The song was a diss track aimed at Megan Thee Stallion and a response to some lines from Meg’s new song “HISS.” “Big Foot” got off to an impressive start, debuting in the top 30 with less than a full week tracking. But in the following weeks, it fell off the charts completely and hasn’t returned. It currently sits at just under 11 million streams on Spotify with “HISS” rapidly approaching 50 million.

Later this year, Nicki Minaj will take off on her Pink Friday 2 tour. The tour was already a pretty massive undertaking when it was first announced and she’s repeatedly added expanded dates to the roster. There’s plenty of fan excitement for the tour already. Nicki showed off just how many people were interested when she revealed that it was her highest selling tour to date before the pre sale had even wrapped up.
