Patrick’s charity ’15 and Mahomies’ hosted the event for the Kansas City community.

The foundation’s Instagram page describes itself as “dedicated to improving the lives of children through initiatives that focus on health, wellness, underserved communities, and other charitable causes.”

They posted a series of photos from the event to his social media to highlight the occasion and captioned it with a heartfelt message.

“Patrick and Brittany Mahomes joined for a clothing and supply donation supporting children and families.

“Who lives in the most economically distressed zip codes in the Kansas City area?

“The event allowed the kids to meet Patrick and Brittany, take photos and pick out the clothes for the winter.”

Chiefs fans and Mahomes supporters flooded the comments with praise for the noble act.

This fan felt: “You two are such a great example of how to truly give back….Merry Christmas to you and your family!”

Another: “Love this, great job Mahomes family in supporting the kids and the community in KC!”

And a third: “True difference makers! This is so special.”

The Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas on Monday.

Kansas City enters their Week 16 match with a 9-5 record and sits atop their division in the AFC West.

Mahomes has thrown for 3703 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions through 14 games.

However, Mahomes expressed earlier this week that he has mixed emotions about playing on the holiday.

“I’m excited because you get that standalone [game]. You get to play at Arrowhead [Stadium] at 12:00.

“Everybody’s gonna be just opening presents and getting the food in them…

“I’m a little disappointed I’m going to miss Christmas Eve with my kids and Christmas morning and miss Santa coming.,” Mahomes shared.
