Selena Gomez’s Friends Are Reportedly Worried Benny Blanco Is Hurting Her Mental Health

Selena Gomez hasn’t been shy to flaunt her love for her new boyfriend Benny Blanco. But according to a new report, not everyone in the singer’s life is convinced Benny is a good influence on her.

“Selena has been through so much and finally seems to have found stability and some measure of peace, but friends worry her mental health issues will resurface at the worst possible moment,” an insider claimed to National Enquirer.

But Selena may not see it that way, as she’s apparently head-over-heels for the rapper. “She’s over the moon about Benny,” the source continued.

Selena has been open about her mental health struggles in the past, which includes depression and anxiety. The actress had a two-week stay at a rehab in 2014 for her mental health following her Lupus diagnosis, and she’s admitted to undergoing in-person treatment for bipolar disorder over the years.

Moreover, Selena is known for taking regular breaks from social media to prioritize her well-being (even as recently as January following the Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner drama).

“I thought the world would be a better place if I wasn’t there,” the Only Murders in the Building star has said of her mental health. “It felt like all of my pain and anxiety washed over me all at once. It was one of the scariest moments of my life.”

Though Selena, 31, and Benny, 35, have only been dating for six months, they’re reportedly talking about marriage.

“Selena is convinced she’s found her soul mate and doesn’t see any reason to wait to seal the deal,” a different source told the National Enquirer.

Benny is apparently as ready for the next chapter of their relationship as Selena is, with the insider continuing to say, “He’s already calling her his wife and asking her what kind of ring she wants. It’s serious!”
