Travis Kelce stayed home in Kansas City on Thursday to support Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, who held his foundation’s fourth annual gala, all while Taylor Swift poured her heart out onstage in Argentina.

Kelce, 34, was expected to attend Swift’s concert to reciprocate the love she has shown by going to a handful of his NFL games. Instead, the Chiefs tight end attended the “15 and the Mahomies Foundation” Gala, where he received a nod for becoming the franchise’s all-time leader in receiving yards.

Swift, 33, started the South America leg of her “Eras Tour” and surprised fans with a couple of unexpected songs, including “Labyrinth,” where the popstar sings that she’s “falling in love again.”

Fans on social media were quick to thank Kelce for Swift singing the surprise songs, which also included “The Very First Night.”

While Kelce missed Thursday’s concert in Argentina, it’s possible he meets her there for Day 2, which is on Saturday.

Travis Kelce was just teasing everyone?

It’s also possible that Kelce decided against traveling to Argentina during the team’s Bye Week to avoid media scrutiny despite teasing the trip countless times.

Some talking heads did not think it was a good look when Kelce attended an MLB World Series game midseason last month.

The Chiefs TE is coming off a game in Germany, which is also a long flight, though Kelce says jetlag does not affect him because he “sleeps like a baby” on airplanes.

Kelce only recorded 14 yards in the Germany game against the Miami Dolphins, a win nonetheless, but he has a lot more season to play and could decide to rest this week.
