After the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Grammy award winner Taylor Swift celebrated with boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce, on the field.Her choice of jewelry is now changing a woman’s life and her small business.Emily Bordner is the owner and creative director at EB and Co. in Brookside. The small business sells all kinds of accessories and jewelry. This season, they launched a new Chiefs collection.On Sunday night, one of their smallest items made it to one of the biggest stars in the world. Taylor Swift wore one of their number 87 rings to the game.Bordner said she didn’t realize Swift was wearing her product until the store manager texted her.”I was like oh my God, this is not possible. This isn’t true. What’s happening?” Bordner said. “It was just like right on her little pointer finger. And I’m like, Holy moly, what just happened? This is insane.”Since that moment on Sunday night, EB and Co. has sold more than 500 items. The rings are sold out in store. But you can still pre-order them online for $14.“It immediately went on fire. Everything is insane. The site apparently slowed down because there were so many people on it. We sold out of things immediately,” Bordner said. “It was just absolute chaos, but it was very exciting. So, this is definitely a once in a lifetime thing.”Bordner said she thinks it all started by sending a gift package to Donna Kelce.”We gifted Donna some pairs. We know that she loved our earrings. And so, we wanted to gift her even more of Kelce themed products. So, we sent those to her and then we were hoping that she would give them to Taylor. And she did,” Bordner said.She said she’s grateful for all of the business that Swift has sent her way and is focusing on getting all of the orders out of the door.“It’s just been a crazy whirlwind and we’re just trying to take of take advantage of everything we can and sell as much as we can and show appreciation as much as we can for Donna and Taylor and everybody,” she said.
