Travis Kelce’s pursuit of fame rivaling Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s is no happenstance. With a calculated plan orchestrated by managers André and Aaron Eanes, Kelce aims for Hollywood stardom, backed by a team of five agents and movie script reviews.
The collaboration between Kelce and the Eanes brothers dates back to his university days at the University of Cincinnati. A pivotal moment occurred in 2022 when, passing a colossal billboard featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Kelce expressed doubts about reaching that level of fame. Undeterred, the Eanes brothers affirmed, “Yes, you can,” and Kelce’s 2023 became a standout year, earning him the moniker ‘Mr. Taylor Swift.’
The Eanes brothers strategically crafted a business plan to elevate Kelce’s profile on and off the field. This included national TV commercials, hosting Saturday Night Live, launching a clothing line, and co-hosting a podcast with his brother, Eagles-player Jason Kelce.
While dating Taylor Swift wasn’t initially part of the plan, it significantly contributed to Kelce’s expanded reach, connecting with diverse demographics worldwide.
Kelce’s team has grown to include a creative strategist, community outreach coordinator, Los Angeles-based publicist, personal chef, and trainer. Additionally, four agents focus on his football career, led by Mike Simon at VMG Sports. Kelce recently joined Creative Artists Agency, signaling aspirations to venture into acting.
The Eanes brothers remain the architects behind the scenes, emphasizing the execution of a well-thought-out plan. The management team now contemplates Kelce’s personal brand development beyond football between the Super Bowl in February and the start of training camp in July.
Kelce’s journey into mainstream celebrity status began with a feature in a 2015 edition of Complex magazine. Despite initial reality show fame with “Catching Kelce,” he aimed higher, achieving a spot on Saturday Night Live in March 2023.
In an interview with The New York Times, the Eanes twins express concerns about potential oversaturation of Kelce in the media. Looking ahead, Kelce prioritizes quality over quantity, emphasizing authenticity.
Having filed for five trademarks, including his name, Instagram handle, catchphrase, jersey number, and a cereal brand, Kelce aims to diversify his brand’s usage, from pins and posters to clothing and cereals.
Kelce’s pursuit of Swift’s attention started at her Eras Tour show, where he crafted a friendship bracelet. Though initially unsuccessful, Kelce’s podcast antics eventually caught Swift’s attention, leading to their immediate dating.
