When she learned that her son was about to have a new family, Dung wanted to come find him but did not know the boy’s face. Mrs. Nhan, Pax Thien’s grandmother, said: “My daughter is very terrible.” Mr. Chien is afraid: “If my child knew that Sang was adopted by a rich actor, he would come to harass her and ask for money. He may even want his child back.”

Many people believe that Pax Thien’s biological mother was afraid that the boy would have a disease, so she threw him away, but when she found out that the child was healthy, she wanted to get him back.

Pax Thien’s grandfather added that Dung was at home when people from President Tam Binh came to announce that a rich American wanted to adopt Pax Thien, but the guests did not know that it was the boy’s mother. Confiding in News of the world, Mrs. Nhan said she had never visited her grandchild because she was afraid that she would relent and take him home to raise him. “We can’t afford to raise our grandchild, so we just hope he lives happily and comes back to visit us. I also hope Dung forgets her son,” she said.

Sang’s family has never contacted me

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, former Director of Tam Binh Center, Pax Thien’s grandparents or mother have never tried to contact the Center. He affirmed: “In this case, Pax Thien’s family no longer has any rights over him. Before the City Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs transferred Sang to Tam Binh Town, Tu Du Hospital confirmed that he was an abandoned and unclaimed child. Therefore, only President Tam Binh is the official protector of Pax Thien and has been recognized by the State. The foreign press said that Pax Thien’s mother made an application to the President and even visited her child every month, which was completely fabricated and seriously insulted the President.

Sang’s biological mother has no right to claim her child

According to lawyer Huynh Minh Vu (Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association), legally, Pax Thien has officially been an orphan since arriving in Tam Binh Town. The process for giving and adopting children in this case is very strict legally.

Lawyer Vu said that Angelina Jolie ‘s adoption case is public and not permanent. Publicity because the adoption of baby Pax Thien was reported throughout the media. It is not permanent because according to Vietnam’s Marriage and Family Law, the court can make a decision to terminate child custody in cases where the adoptive parents are limited in their right to raise minor children according to the law ; convicted of child abuse crimes; taking advantage of adoption to exploit labor; has acts of inciting and forcing adopted children to do illegal things… If Angelina Jolie is found to have violated these provisions, the court can annul her adoption. However, at that time, Pax Thien will be handed over to President Tam Binh, not Ms. Dung’s family.

In fact, Pax Thien Jolie has established another legal relationship as Angelina Jolie’s adopted child. Therefore, Ms. Dung does not have any rights to reclaim the baby. Only when the court has the authority to decide to terminate Angelina Jolie’s adoption due to adoption violations of Vietnam’s Marriage and Family Law, can Ms. Dung ask to receive Pax Thien back.

Lawyer Vu affirmed that with concerns that Ms. Dung might extort, demand money, demand anything… those are just Ms. Dung’s antics. Because the law will not protect and defend those actions.
