Philip Freidin, Leviston’s attorney, opted not to comment on the honor, which was first announced by the New York Daily News. The lawsuit is based on a 13-minute movie that was posted online in 2009 and starred Jackson as “Pimpin’ Curly,” a narrator who wore a wig. The character ridiculed Ross, who wasn’t in the video but has a daughter with Leviston, and made sexual comments about Leviston. When the video first came out, Ross and Jackson were teasing one another through interviews, lyrics, and videos.
