Chapter 1113 of One Piece brought with it the biggest revelation ever made in the history of the series. The chapter revealed the first part of Dr. Vegapunk’s message, where he not only confessed to committing some crimes because of his employment with the World Government, but he also dropped the bombshell of the One Piece world, sinking into the sea.

Fans believe that this catastrophe could result in the end of the One Piece universe or that it could start the final war between the Straw Hat Pirates and the World Government. However, there is one theory that brings out a silver lining from the devastating message. According to this theory, the world sinking into the sea would result in the fulfillment of the dreams of every Straw Hat Pirate.

From Luffy to Jinbe, every member of the crew had a dream that motivated them to go on the biggest adventure or journey of their lives and find the One Piece treasure. However, as the story has entered its final phase, fulfilling all the dreams one by one would only prolong the conclusion. Which is why the One Piece world needs to sink.

Every Straw Hat Pirate Had Their Individual Dream

Unlike other crews in One Piece, Eiichiro Oda decided to make the Straw Hat Pirates special by giving each member of the crew a dream of their own that they wished to accomplish. The Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy, has the dream to become the freest man in the whole world, which is why he decided to become King of the Pirates.

Roronoa Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsman in the world by defeating the current holder of the title, Dracule Mihawk. Sanji, the cook of the crew, dreams of finding the All Blue, a rumored sea where all the other seas connect. Nami, being the navigator, desires to create the map of the entire world, and Usopp wants to become a brave warrior of the sea.

The doctor of the group, Chopper, aims to become a great doctor who can cure any disease. Robin wants to learn the true history of the One Piece world. Franky wants to build a ship that can sail all over the world. Brook wants to reunite with his old friend Laboon, and Jinbe dreams of achieving equality between Fish-men and humans.

One Piece Theory Reveals How the Straw Hat Pirates Will Fulfill Their Dreams

According to a theory posted by @writingpanini on X(Formerly Twitter), when the world returns after sinking completely into the sea, it will allow every Straw Hat Crew to fulfill their dreams altogether. The theory states that before the One Piece world was broken into islands, it was just a singular piece of an enormous land (Pangea), and a single sea surrounded this land (Panthalassa).

However, the creation of The Grandline led to the division of the land and the seas into different parts. The theory states that when the world sinks, the Grandline will have to be destroyed to restore balance once again. This will be done by Roronoa Zoro, who will cut the Grandline, thus making him the strongest swordsman in the world.

Destroying the Grandline would bring back All Blue (Sanji’s Dream) and unite the entire world as “One Piece,”  thus making it easy for Nami to draw the map and finally reveal the true history of the world (Robin’s Dream). The Straw Hats ship would be the only ship that would have traveled all the seas (Franky’s dream), and Brook would finally be united with Laboon.

The destruction of the Grandline will ultimately start the Final War, where the Straw Hat Pirates will battle against the World Government with the help of Fish-men(Jinbe’s dream). The World Government would probably use the rare diseases that they have been experimenting with, which will be treated by Chopper, and finally, they will be able to defeat the World Government, making Luffy the King of the Pirates and Usopp a brave warrior of the sea.
